Dating primers

I've only been reloading since November of last year, so I have no reference for dating (by price) a stack of primers my brother's friend gave to him. All CCI, priced 99 cents to $1.49 per tray, and purchased from Bi-Mart and Payless.

I was just curious if anybody had an idea.

White and green are late 60's early 70's the ones with the Blue on them are before the White and Green and before my oldest primers The tan boxes run up into the 90's at least

I am currently using some white and green box CCIs that were given to me and marked $7.90 on the box (brick) and they are all going 'bang'.

If you have primers that old, clearly you aren't shooting enough

I recall primers costing about $0.97 per 100 back in the early 80's in the Seattle area. I kept a box with the price sticker on it for a long time but finally tossed it. Made me too sad when I compared it with today's prices.
