Great friggen eye candy:s0114: Now I am going to have to go in there and see for myself. Hope I get a big Christmas bonus this year:woot:

Well stopped in today as I was in the neighborhood. This place is great:s0155: Sad thing was inventory was down as they have the gun show this weekend. Oh well saw a real nice 300 black hanging on the wall. I see a SBR in my future:s0114: Did pick up a few things for my MaTen build and the employees were great to deal with. Will shop there again for sure:buttrock:

WOW...this thread has been going on for over a year.

Anyway....the other week I was there making a trip from Vancouver with my 14 year old son and stopped in as usual. Actually, my son is the AR guy in the family, I'm just his driver. While there, he had lots of opportunity to drool over the vast array of AR15 parts. He even picked up a free poster (ad for Magpul) and purchased Frog Lube. As usual, the staff was very kind and accommodating to his inquiries about products.

Bottom Line: If you haven't been there, go.

Aloha, Mark

Have you been in there lately:s0131: Everyone else is:s0114: The walls are bare only a couple of SBRs on the wall now. Will be interesting to see how long it takes for inventory to return if it even does:s0131: Not a good thing to be only into black rifles right now.

Seems that Curt's is preparing to close their doors, it is the only excuse that I can find for charging $30 for a PMag 30rd magazine and the walls are bare.. It is a shame when price gouging even starts at the local dealers... Loved them till now, but I guess that I understand...

You do know that he is Air freighting in product just to have something to sell? The distributers are raising prices on him also. And if you look around, he's still selling his stuff for cheaper than most everyplace else.

Yes when I was there pmags were 30 they also had a printout of a on line flyer for the same price. So I would say it is fair market value right now. At least there not fifty or more like on gun broker or Epay:s0114:

Here is what I do know, yeah clearly posted online sales at cheaper than dirt the exact same price he was charging. You wouldn't post a sign like this unless you're trying to justify your inflated prices for product the days earlier was selling for between $13 and $15. Also, is not cheaper than anywhere else, I went online today and picked up 5 20 magazines and 5 30 round magazines all for half the price and he was charging in the store. Feel free to support them if you want, but price gouging is price gouging plain and simple.

The "excuse" is not hard to find: everything on the walls has sold.

Down with these bourgeois pigs!

Death to the capitalist lackeys!

None shall profit on the backs of the People.

Once the glorious Democratic Socialist Republic of Oregon is established, the Party will insure that the proletariat will be able to buy PMAGS at $13 each, even if it costs $23 to produce or obtain them. Any offenders will learn the errors of their ways through state-sponsored re-education camps, and be gently rehabilitated in the ways of fraternal comradeship.

I'm Pretty Sure Curt's is not going out of Business anytime soon! I've been in 25 + Gun Shops in the past week from Bellingham WA to Salem OR, they are all picked pretty clean. I'm also pretty sure that most people on this site aren't in the firearms industry, if you were in the industry you would know that distributors have raised pricing on certain items. Most stores/shops are paying for next day air shipping just so they have stuff for customers. $30.00 for a P-Mags is not that bad considering some places around Portland and up north are selling them for $40 to $50+.

Have you checked the prices lately on Gunbroker where Pmags are going for 60 to 80 bucks a mag? Or have you looked at some of other sites?
If you have done some research you would know what is going on, $13 and $15 per mag prices are over.
Lets not attack the one guy that is trying to keep the prices low.
A+++++ for (Curt's)

At the gun show a week ago Kurt was selling Pmags for $13, which was as good or better than most other sellers. By Monday or Tuesday there was a news story that 3.5 years of inventory of full capacity mags were sold in 3 days nationwide. I am fairly sure he called to try to replace his inventory. What do you suppose he was told ? Seems like supply and demand to me.

Kurt's has treated me well and I will continue to shop there until that changes.

I was driving by yesterday and stopped in just because there was one open spot. Looked like the place had been robbed! The funny thing I did hear was the guy behind the counter talking about the unauthorized photos taken in the store and posted here. He was actually glad because he could come here to see what the shop used to look like!
I stopped in to see if they had a spare AR bolt and the only one they had was a $58 stripped bolt from Brownells. They said they were out of all small parts becaue they had to put them into builds. They did have one $25 PMag that was still there when I left.Nice shop. I'll go back after the freak out and see what its really like.
