Let's hope that this makes them think we're more organized and not quite as Liberal as they think and they can go dump their money into California. I'm hoping that if they make California crumble and implode soon enough, it might stand as a lesson.
2 questions:
If California secedes, does that mean they'll take the 9th circuit with them? Maybe they can just make it their wacky Supreme Court.
When did "Liberal" start standing for restrictions to your liberty? I always considered myself Financially Conservative and Socially Liberal until I found out what the left did with it.

Radical plan to split California into three states earns spot on November ballot

As cool as this sounds, there is a very BIG danger with this called opening more senate seats for democrats and ensuring more vote numbers for themselves come general elections.

It's all about gaining 4 more Senators for California to increase their relative power as well as to tip the balance in the Senate to the Left. Note how the rural areas (Republican and Conservative power base) have been Gerrymandered in the division to ensure that the Left continues to have full control of everything? With about a third of Californians being Republican, wouldn't you think at least one of the three smaller states would at least make them competitive in at least one of them? No way, Jose!

If they go this route, maybe it's time for Texas to split into five states (per agreement when they joined the Union) to even things out a bit.

It certainly would make the best test bed and they always claim Californias wealth of the nation when making arguments in favor of. For the small amount of legit repubs in cali I also believe they are outnumbered by their "fellow" party being controlled opposition.

This was the result of the elections for the 2016 President elect. Id also like to note that San Francisco is attached to the northern part still and isn't separated from it to the lower half. I believe Feinstein to be in the San Fran bay area along with other major silicone valley companies in support of such demographics.

Yes, the North without Sac and SFC would be tolerable and you could see Southern Oregon joining in as well. You would also see me headed south.

Now, about IP44...

Sent another donation to OFF and NRA. Not a lot, but what I can afford. If every Oregon gun owner sent in the minimum suggested donation, we would be able to fight this using all media sources - TV ads, Radio ads, flyers, social media, etc. I know that it is a pipe dream, but if we don't and the gun bans get rolling, no one/gun will be safe. (also posted on Oregon's high court to consider proposed gun-control measure)

Good on you and everyone else making donations. Like you say if each of us donated a little we could send the Bloombots packing.

Over this year I'll wind up donating enough for a new rifle and scope I'll never get to shoot (and glad I can) but at least it looks like I'll get to keep the ones I already have.

Yes, if IP 43 fails this year you can bet they will try again next year or at least 2020 and they will be more careful about the details and timing. This is just a breather for us.

In 2020 I intend to retire and I am thinking of having my legal residency be S. Dakota. Still means I have to abide by Oregon laws when I am here, but if/when I have legal residency outside of Orygun, then any firearms I bought here go off the Orygun books and Orygun can not hold me accountable for them unless I have them with me in Orygun.

I came across this from Jo Rae Perkins, the Republican candidate for U.S. Representative, district 4 in Oregon. It's similar to something being proposed down in Arizona as well.

I suggest a counter Petition - That would negate IP43 -

"No laws shall be passed with regards to the style or type of firearm any legal person in the State of Oregon may legally own.
Nor shall the size of the magazine, nor the type of grip be banned in the state of Oregon, nor any attachments, including sound suppression, nor any parts to make firearms.
Nor shall any person be compelled to register or surrender their firearms, nor shall any person in lawful possession of 'large capacity' magazines, be required to register or surrender them.
Nor shall any attachments which are approved by the ATF be banned or registration thereof be required. In consideration of the requirement every elected or appointed official in the State of Oregon be required to take an Oath or Affirm they will uphold and protect both the U.S. and Oregon Constitutions.

"The passage of this measure is in full agreement with: The U.S. Constitution, 2nd Amendment to the Bill Rights, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." and Article 1, Section 27 of the Oregon Constitution :"The people shall have the right to bear arms for the defence [sic] of themselves, and the State, but the Military shall be kept in strict subordination to the civil power[.]"

Naturally the text would need to be refined. But I think it should be written and filed immediately. Take it to the gun shows. We will get 1,000 signatures immediately. Then get more than 88,000 for the November election. This is doable. We can complain, rally and take no action, or we can look at this type of action as well as other tactics which I explained yesterday in my live video. If you are looking for a Candidate who is going to take action in DC to protect your rights, look no father than Jo Rae Perkins. Your financial contributions are welcomed! However, I am not posting this because we need finances for the campaign, I post it because I am 100% American and will and do stand up for our Constitution.

Honestly, it would be a really good idea. Get this onto Washington State's books before any initiative similar to IP 43 comes up.
