If an AR ban conflicted with the constitution then how did the previous federal AWB even happen?
Democrats controlled the House, Senate, and White House. It also had some Republican support from RINOs. Democrats are the anti-gun, anti-BORs, anti-USA party and they see the US Constitution, AND TRUMP by the way, as impediments to the totalitarian control they desire, therefore unconstitutional laws are not a problem for them.

Not sure if the vote counts shown here are final for the bill that passed or not:

Same with the vote counts shown here:

The 1994 AWB story is old so finding good info is not as easy as it should be.

Maybe. It is not important if he was or not. That is ancient history. In 1994 Dems were not quite as anti-freedom as they are now, at least not openly. In fact, quite a few Dems voted against the 1994 AWB. The important thing to know today, particularly during this election year, is that the party of gun-control sticks together like a bundle of sticks and it is rare for one of them to vote against the party line. That fact means that if we vote them into power today, they WILL take our rights. Comrade Wyden, by introducing a bill to pack the USSC, is telling us that in no uncertain terms.

Hey Comrade. Happy to discuss what is and is not fascism and communism-marxism. But perhaps by PM rather than this thread, which is already overly-infested by non-gun political nonsense.

mb, Thank you for the offer, but I suspect we will not change each other's mind. I think my points are clear enough and hopefully a few readers learned something from my initial post and follow-up posts. We are likely pushing the envelope of censorship on NWFA. I don't wanna get banned yet. There's lots more educating to be done. Kind of like the preacher in Pale Rider:
