As of late February 2026, H.R. 645 (119th Congress), the National Constitutional Carry Act, introduced on January 23, 2025, has not been scheduled for a vote. The bill was referred to the House Committee on the Judiciary and currently awaits committee action, with no specific voting date set.
 
If they are going to get it done, do it before Nov/Jan; the House is going to flip control, maybe even the Senate.

This is no surprise. House Judiciary isn't willing to discuss/deal with the potential "constitutional" issues of conflicting State requirements and of the fact that many States outright refuse to recognize other States carry licenses/permits or even lack thereof.

Yup. The patchwork of concealed carry legality, the whole limited reciprocity thing, and so on... It's a bigger headache than it should be.
