Put a few hundred rounds through it when i first got it with no issues.

My daughter put ~500 (or so) through hers. She absolutely loved it.

I heard the 22 is "dirty" and can start to coat the gas tube. I read that after every few hundred 22LR, to put the 223/556 BCG back in and run a magazine or 2 of 223/556 through the rifle to help "blow out" the gas tube.

Right, wrong or indifferent, I heard it and did it. We've had zero problems.

I love mine. Honestly it runs great and rarely have any misfeeds. If you want to shoot your AR with 22lr this is the way to go.

The hardest part about this system is loading the magazine.
