Another one close to Beaverton is lucky sporting goods. Operates out of garage but great guy and great service.
Is that "Lucky Sporting Goods" in Banks? I get a warning from his website....?

I've heard a lot of good about him. Just too far away from me.

Yes there can be bad traffic if coming from Pdx. Adaptive firing solutions in Oregon city is equal to lucky sporting goods in terms of being the 2 best OR ffls that I have been to. Only about 20 minutes to get there if on east side. A++ rating from me. Lots of used guns in stock also and open until 6 except Sunday and Monday.

speaking of used guns, my plan was to post for sale a couple of handguns I've had for a while that I haven't used and it seems like a couple FFL dealers are also pawn shops or sell used guns. Assuming they also buy used guns would I take a massive hit by selling to a pawn shop/FFL dealer versus posting it in these classifieds?

You want to post them here first I would think. Vet the people that contact you. Check feedback. Talk on the phone. Buyers generally come to the seller. Meeting in the middle is common too.

For me personally I have given up selling on NWFA classifieds. Guns I listed here at low prices had no interest. The last 4 guns I took to adaptive for consignment all sold at a price higher than listed here. First one took 3 weeks to sell. The next three sold the first day (all listed at different times).

COOL!! Good idea, consignment. What % do they take?

They say 20% but it's weird I always end up with more than expect. Not sure why. Fe last gun I sold I had listed here for $625. I ended up with about that when I got cash after selling on consignment. Drop off and forget. No dealing with "hold it for me I'll get the cash next week" etc etc. totally worth it to me. Everybody is different though.

interesting. well ill post it on here just to get feedback on pricing, interest, etc.. and if nothing bites then ill look into the consignment route to see if it makes more sense financially. Do you know if it's ok to post here on NWF and accept silver as payment as an option or is that against the rules

I don't see any reason can't ask for whatever you want. As long as it's legal.

During a sale of a firearm, is it usually the buyer or seller that covers the FFL fee. Or is that usually specified in the ad. Any thoughts?
Around here, unless otherwise specified, it is customary for the buyer to pay. If you are a motivated seller, you might offer to do otherwise.

"would I take a massive hit by selling to a pawn shop"

Yes pawn shops won't give you jack, usually less than 50% of what the resale rate is.
