No surprise there......the sad reality is, the US dollars going towards aid for the Philippines ARE actually Chinese dollars, as they own us anyway.

Not yet, they don't!! They just have a lien on the country!! Not ready to start trying to learn 32 different dialects of Chinese right now!!

China being cheap is actually due to disputes it has ongoing with the Philippines. Mostly over water rights.
It would be like if a Hurricane hit Cuba. Since we've had a stick up our rear over them for many years, the USA as a corporation probably would show limited generosity.
We did however also very limited aid to Cuba last year for the first time in 50 years from private parties/corps here via a single supply ship.
