County music great and American patriot Charlie Daniels passed away this morning. I met him a couple of times at county fairs over the years and what a gentleman he was. He is probably standing guard at the Pearly Gates ready to beat the devil with his fiddle bow. A true American patriot who spoke his mind. Your just reward for a job well done sir !!

His music could be heard in my home growing up. And to this day I listen to his awesome music.
He and Alabama owned the 70's and 80's. Along with Kenny who we just lost.

Legend...

Always loved his music. What an artist! I haven't kept up with him over the years, was he still active as of late in the music scene?
It ain't just Rock-and-Roll. None of the music's got the same soul!

RIP

I went and saw him and Travis Tritt last August. Good show and he made a lot of folks nervous by playing a couple of gospel tunes and inviting the crowd to pray with him for our country. Pretty sure I know where he is now.

RIP.

My camera was horrible...

Rest in Peace Legend!

Man I was just talking to someone about him Saturday.

I saw him at a small venue in Lexington, KY around 2011.
For an old man he put on a heck of a show and still burned up that fiddle!

Really sad to hear.
I feel really blessed for being able to see him.
