I just got a Century Arms CAI-3 308cal. semi-auto rifle .....that when it is shot ... The trigger mechanism housing pops loose and jams the shells .... Is there a easy fix ??? Or does it need a trip to the local gunsmith ??? And if so , I am new to the Salem Oregon area .... where's a good place to take it if needed ?
Thanks......... Doug Ramey

Can you post pic of the lower removed and close up of the shelf, also the front part of the lower, in the picture it looks like the lower might have been improperly modified

your upper does look fine, dont know how much metal workign skillz you have, you might be able to add some material back on to the tp or just buy a new one, century is known for cutting corners on these rifles, so if you get one that works reliably then consider yourself blessed, i do have an extra empty pack however it is unmodified and again how much metal skillz do you have.
and robertrtg is awesome

I am very good and fast at tearing something apart ... but putting it back together again has always been a problem for me .... Just not much in metal skills ...... Looks like Sportsman has a good used one I can get .. see link in second reply from Terrylf72 .... or if a member had a complete pack to sell ... I would consider that ....

THANKS to all you guys for the help ....
Doug

Shotgun you have a used one now, how's that working out for you? Spend the extra $20 on a new one.

it appears by the photo you do not need a whole trigger pack as mentioned just a replacement grip frame although that grip frame does look repairable with some welding but if you don't have a welder handy that would not work for you.

be sure when you buy a new grip frame that it is semi auto some of the ones recommended above mentioned are full auto packs and will need to be converted to semi

check to see if what US parts are in your kit as well if it applys to your weapon your grip frame is not US but your grip may be
