Center Dot vs X

My go to scope for my "rat" guns is the Athlon Argos BTR Gen 2 6-24x50 FFP that has a Cross for the center reticle (I have 5 of 'um). Low and behold there is now an Argos Gen 3 that has a Dot for the center reticle. Both images are below. Since I saw this reticle on other scopes in this price range I have wished I had that feature, but now that Athlon has it I am between a rock and a rock arguing with the thought of replacing all of these scopes. The other change they made was to take the illumination control off the eye piece and put it on the parallax knob where it will no longer block the use of a scope level, but I digress.

Please tell me that it won't make a darn bit of difference so I can move on with my life.

Just replace one scope and in a year you will know about the rest....
