Example:
"The new data released shows that 155,000 people were shot in 2016, a 28 per cent increase from the gun deaths seen in 2015. That amounts to 34,000 more incidents of gun violence than seen in 2015, and 40,000 more gun violence incidents than in 2014. "

Trying to find the report is proving less than easy.

"Tragically, more than 44,000 people died by suicide in the United States in 2015. Homicide claimed over 17,000 people."

Article says that ~60% of gun deaths were suicide. Some people kill themselves - sad fact of life throughout the world. If people had access to humane methods there would be few gun suicides; but nope, can't allow humane methods like we do with our pets - we have to force people to do it in all manner of barbaric ways. Geniuses.

Like judging on accord of race, breaking murder down by how it's done seems to be sophomoric at best, containing evil intent at its worst. Is a person shot "deader" than one stabbed or strangled?

The agenda is to punish the innocent for the acts of the guilty. Yet, still not a single call for knife control, or hand control. All the while 102 die each day in the US from traffic accidents.

Regulate away! All you change is the manner in which murderous hearts murder. No, it's not about death rates, suicides or anything else. It is about disarming and subjecting the people to pure, unadulterated governmental authority. But, what was the inspiration for the US Constitution in the first place? Those who fail to learn from history are condemned to repeat it.
