I Get that we are suppose to use the the articles title, but the article is really poorly written.
30% rise in people killed by guns in US in 2016, data reveals
Example:
"The new data released shows that 155,000 people were shot in 2016, a 28 per cent increase from the gun deaths seen in 2015. That amounts to 34,000 more incidents of gun violence than seen in 2015, and 40,000 more gun violence incidents than in 2014. "
CDC Works 24/7
Trying to find the report is proving less than easy.
"Tragically, more than 44,000 people died by suicide in the United States in 2015. Homicide claimed over 17,000 people."
Contrast to this:
https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/david-goodall-death-media-celebrate-assisted-suicide/
Philip Nitschke — who once told NRO's Kathryn Jean Lopez that he thought "troubled teens" should have access to suicide pills"available in grocery stores."
On their, CDC, Violence Prevention page, they ahve links to Dating and Preventing Teen Dating. Just sayin'
You would think from that story it would be a headline, at least
How's this:
<broken link removed>
2015, NVDRS States: AK, AZ, CO, CT, GA, HI, KS, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, NC, NH, NJ, NM, NY, OH, OK, OR, RI, SC, UT, VA, VT, WI
All Victims Death Counts and Rates per 100,000
All Intents, Firearm
All Races, Both Sexes, All Ages
Number of Deaths Population Crude Rate
15,297 150,634,270 10.16
So, 150 million is half the us population, where is CA, and NY, FL, IL ...
When you see the CDC mentioned, dig into it.
