I was under the impression the entire nation of Canada was like a village in AlaskaThe story is highly exaggerated, all the prices they are quoting are in Nunavut. It's a lot like comparing the produce prices in the bubblegum end of some Alaska village with what you pay at a Portland Safeway.
Prices are up for some imported foods due to the exchange rate but the beef prices are still better than Oregon.
Canadians would not know what socialism is if it sat on their face. We are a country ruled by finance capital just like the Americans.$30 for a gallon of chocolate milk is crazay.
Not that chocolate milk is inelastic, (for some, lol) but being socialist, they'll tax the bejesus out of inelastic goods, such as gasoline, booze, cigarettes etc.
If I remember correctly around 25 years ago cigarettes were $10 a pack.
anyway, I'm cooking up a 15lb turkey I got around thanksgiving right now.. cost about $5.50.. for the whole thing.. JennyO brand
Could not agree more. Well said. The main problem I've found with Canada is there are too few Canadians.
Too many people there seem to identify with somewhere else.
