I can see how this idea sounds attractive, but I'm worried that it might be used against the masses. Although somewhat relevant, in 2011 Bay Area Rapid Transit system (BART) shut off cell services in some locations in fear of protesters.

Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere in this forum since the news is a few days old. What surprises me is that I haven't heard anything about this in cable news networks.
