Yea, he sure got his basics/terminology wrong.
I gather though that they had tried to modify those long guns to full-auto unsuccessfully.
I heard elsewhere on the media where it was explained perfectly.. sans "bullet buttons" though.

I have a couple that were clinging onto my ARs when I moved out of California. I never had much luck with them making the ARs into Assault Rifles. I rather hoped I would check the safe to find a pair of StG44s but it never happened.

If you're keen, I can sell you two of my old ones with a handful of magic beans for $250 and you can put them on your rifles and see if they turn into Assault Rifles.

I think one had been "modified" to take a 30 round magazine... of course that doesn't make sense really so maybe they were trying to say that the bullet button had been removed or tightened to behave as a normal rifle.

We live in a country where it seems that most folks want a easy 5 minute solution for a lifetime of problems.
Not getting to the real problems but just getting in some
"talking points" to a pretty face on the news always seems to happen before a push for more useless gun laws.

By not getting to why these things happen and what made the shooter think that was the answer to what his problem was , we will not be able to stop shootings in the future.
Of course I understand that we will never be able to stop all shootings , but the understanding of why did this happen and what made the shooter think that way , is of more importance than the "evils" of bullet buttons" , magazine cartridge count , etc ...

I didn't get quite to the half point of that vid.....As Mr. Heart Sig said, other topics SHOULD be the discussion! Also can't stand the term "Assault Riffle" instead of Semi auto/full auto, and after about the fourth "CLIP" instead of magazine, couldn't listen further. And I'm not a stickler for proper use of the two terms, normally.

What really kills me is the thought of millions of people with their eyes glued to all this, for hours on end, and it's soaked deep into their brains that the tool is evil! Not the people, and/or that particular faction of the religion.

While we all laugh with very good reasons at this liebral logic, never forget that these are the nimrods who want MORE gun legislation. They are the ones who have the ears and attention of the "important" people. Don't know about you but I plan on laughing these idjuts out of control when we all finally vote 'em out. Seems like at least once in every generation the whole socialism scam must be beaten back with whatever means are necessary.
