Use caution.
Neoprene ankle holsters will wick moisture away from your leg and you guessed it, hold it right against your gun.

Ran an ankle holster for a Kimber Micro-9 SS and after 8 hours it already had red spots. I was able to clean it back up and never used the holster again. Went with a Kydex IWB since it was so small.

Just cautioning.... keep an eye on it.

Over the calf straps are not needed (and more comfortable IMO) assuming the holster is properly built. Lou Alessi made some of the very best but he passed away in 2009. Fortunately, Skip and Bob Ritchie now make them...

If wearing over a boot I'd suggest a K.L. Null because of the way they strap up, just be sure to put the holster on first before holstering the weapon as per the included instructions.

Agreed, I hate those with neoprene and sheep skin, dense felt backing is the way to go IMO. They help eliminate the hot, moist spot and hold the weapon tight.
