Agreed, unsure where people get this view of Congress caring more about our rights than their donors/polls.

Santos was just expelled too, so irrelevant of views on him, Republicans have the majority by only 8 at the moment.

Seeing how Bernie Sanders and Angus King are 2/3 "independents" in the Senate, King being the author of this bill (GOSAFE act), we'd need Kyrsten Sinema (former dem) to vote no... As for SCOTUS, there've been plenty of hit pieces on Justice Thomas recently.

Thankfully every time they do this before election season it's mostly a voter losing effort. We've seen time and time again the state by state bans are more effective and can be implemented easier than a national ban.

Sadly when it gets to that point they will not have too. They will gladly let a handful of people keep anything they make illegal to own. After something is now illegal why would they come get it? Person who owns it can't got out and have fun with it. If they use it for defense they go to jail. So no one needs to go door to door any more than they do that now in places where those who can't have any gun are shooting each other every night.
