Went out yesterday with my 223 Rat Gun to test Once Fired (not by me) and Twice Fired (fire formed) LC brass, and check the tracking of my Athlon Argos 6-24x50. The conditions were less than stellar with the targets really only being blurry splotches of color through the fog, but I made the best of it.

The brass test turned out better than I had expected with the twice fired only slightly edging out the once fired by .1" at 100 yards which will body a rat all day at 200 yards. This is good given the conditions and my not wanting to go through and fire form 500 cases for my Rat hunt in May. The tracking test confirmed that the scope itself tracks just fine, but it is mounted a tad cockeyed. The three shots to the left of center were holding 1 moa left after I was back to zero. I also did four more shots on a separate target.

Overall this was a successful trip. šŸ˜ƒ
