They'll "buy it back" for $5 on the theory that there isn't a market value for contraband and $5 is the scrap metal value.

And the F's tell 'em all where to go!Reports now are that GOP leadership has issued sent out a "Just Vote No" memo to all members. This is all Kabuki theater, the D's demand action, the R's say they are willing to talk, the D's come up with outlandish non-starters and the R's say no. That way the D's can blame the R's and say they need more campaign contributions and to be voted back in and the R's can say that they were willing to try but the D's never had any intention of honest negotiation and that is why they also need more campaign contributions and to be voted back in
Agreed. Let's have some consistency in law; you're an adult at 18 with all the rights and privileges which include voting, renting a car, having alcohol, buying NFA or handguns and going to war OR all of that is at 21…. Or 25.I don't know how many of you go back this far but the reason the voting age was lowered to 18 was 18 year old's were OK to go to war but not to vote. (Check out Buffalo Springfield's "For What It's Worth".) Now we have the youngins going to war but they cant buy a rifle cause the politicos want to make some sort of wound bite? WTF over?
I haven't played the latest versions of FPS games - I'm sure It can't help but I don't think it's the core reason. Why do I think that? How about all of those generations of running around the neighborhoods / woods with toy guns playing make believe war? All those real fist fights growing up? All the real shooting of game Animals / hunting?YEARS of 10 hr a day first person shooter video games combined with SSRI's.
Go ahead , tell me I'm wrong.
The mood meds could make the difference. Those things can numb a person and make them more capable of emotionless killing. Add that to the constant killing online and that might make a recipe for a psycho.I haven't played the latest versions of FPS games - I'm sure It can't help but I don't think it's the core reason. I want to also bring up that when we played war/cowboys/indians etc. etc., there wasn't all the bloody gore and visual effects. You got shot, fell down for a few minutes and was back up carrying on more missions. In these video games today, they completely desensitize the players from a reality of actual death and dying! I've seen this in some of my own young relatives. The mood meds could make the difference. Those things can numb a person and make them more capable of emotionless killing. I don't play shooter video games. I have seen some of the realism in the graphics and desensitization of violence. 99% of the players are less affected. The recent SCOTUS ruling on the 4th Amendment should scare the beejesus out of all of us.There needs to be a system in place for notifying others in your area if you're being ATF raided or otherwise having an illegal raid commited I think. If not it'll be too easy to start picking us off one by one.
Not a big deal for them in the "Fly Over" part of the countryThe recent SCOTUS ruling on the 4th Amendment should scare the beejesus out of all of us.
Alll that other stuff, the fist fights, the animal killing, the running etc is all real. Its work. You get punched in the face you feel pain. It sucks. You dont want to do that again. Play FPS 10 hours a days so your mom doesnt have to deal with you and compound it with mood leveling drugs where the highs and lows are blunted and you start to lose touch with reality. You dont care about killing like you dont care about anything but it becomes all you think about. .I haven't played the latest versions of FPS games - I'm sure It can't help but I don't think it's the core reason. I never bought into that argument... But I fail to realize that I am of strong mind and despite hours of gaming, I am still grounded in reality & have analog relationships...Alll that other stuff, the fist fights, the animal killing, the running etc is all real. You should watch the documentaryFrom all I have read there is some confusion around the issue of correlation and causation here. While it may be true that people with violent tendencies are drawn to violent video games I have yet to see any decent study that shows video games TURN people violent
But if you know of one I would love to read it
