It is a lot of fun, and not equipment intense either. If you have a holster and a handgun you're set.

I shoot speed steel at TCGC and have shot all of those divisions but the most popular with most folks is the RFC-O division.

What's the avg. round count for speed steel? I always bring at least double the amount of ammo than is needed.

If you shoot perfect you'll need about 150 rounds, I always bring 250.

Boy Scout ideals. 1 is none, 2 is one ect. I always have access to more, might have to into the parking lot to get it, but always more.
Same for extra mags, optic batteries, muff batts.

Yes, they do both rimfire pistol & rifle and pistol caliber carbine.

Should be OK with about 160 rounds.

Does rim fire pistol involve drawing from a holster, or is it from low ready? Do you have to sign up ahead of time and get a gate code?
Thinking of giving it a try one of these days.

You can shoot either one, speed steel is less serious than USPSA, you sign up when you arrive, and the gate code is posted at the entrance.

I don't see anyone there shooting .22 with a red dot. I usually shoot .22O at Tricounty so wonder if they have the same division in Albany. I might make it down Sunday and take a center fire with iron sights as a back up just in case they don't do .22O.
