Cool you got it all figured out but, who is manufacturing/supplying the out of spec part? Curt's needs to contact and or drop them to continue to maintain reputation. You can have "good" and you can have "cheap" but you can't have both!

The bolt catch is a CMMG part, but I'm not sure if it is that or the lower itself. This was an 80% build of mine, but as you probably know, the bolt catch depression in the lower is part of the already completed 80% when that kind of lower is purchased, so I doubt the lower was the problem. Either way, just shaving a little off of the catch seemed to do it.
 
:eek: oh wait....80% build. So you were the non mil-spec'd part in there LOL. Was going to ask the same thing (where the parts came from, China or Hong Kong :p)

So is there a scratch on your bcg from this dragging catch? That could have saved you some time when looking for causes if it was dragging that hard maybe it left a tell....

Lol no, the bolt catch recess and detent hole are not parts that I had to do myself. I wish it were that simple though.
