Ok school me on what is needed to assemble an AR. I am looking into putting a few together and would like to get a list going of what I need. I am doing a .308 first. I have watched many videos but figure I would get more info from a group rather than just a few sources.

    Thanks:thumbup:

    +1 Brownells ...
Upper reciever clamp, barrel nut multi tool. Head space gauges. You may need some drill fixtures. Files and a nice set of brass/ steel punch/ roll pin set.

Do you plan on doing both the upper and the lower, or just the lower?

You don't really need much to build the lower only. Only a couple of punches, small hammer, and a wrench to tighten the castle nut.

Here's a good lower building guide: New and Improved Guide to Building a Lower - AR15.COM

You'll need a bit more to build the upper, which I haven't done.

There are more guides here: Build It Yourself - AR15.COM that should get you the information to build the upper.
