Aperture sight question

I bought a Lyman 57wjs for my Remington 700 ML. The sight is sloppy in the elevation slot which means it can be moved if you touch it. I contacted Lyman and they ghosted me so I sent it back to Midway for a replacement and it's no better. My question is does anyone know if the hole spacing on any older sights is the same as this 57wjs? I didn't see this issue until after my rifle was D&T.
