I'm curious if anyone in the Hillsboro area has a 1in lapping bar I might be able to use on some rings. If you have a bar and wouldn't mind me using it, I would be willing to kick you a few dollars. Thanks.

I once used a cheap scope for this purpose. A cheapie Tasco that had a broken occular lense. I put it on a couple of v-blocks and found the tube to be true. Set it in the rings and used some fine Valve lapping compound to do the job.

The rings I bought recently for my NightForce NXS didn't need any lapping. Maybe for the price they charge, they can afford to make 'em straight:);)
