In 98 my dad shot a moose. It's the only set of antlers he ever took that was really worth mounting. They have been hanging under the eaves of Mom and Dad's house since 99 and have been bleached out some. Moose antlers don't fit well in most homes and I've decided to hang them in my shop. Before I hang them I was hoping there was something I could do to bring back some of the color and sheen.

Anybody got a clue?

This is something I was thinking along the lines as well.

Some good links from coffee to specialty products that sell $24 per ½ cup.

Yeah, I was wondering if a stain or a wax, like old time shoe polish, would be best.
Yeah, controlled application could give you an amazing color pattern and finish that never existed even fresh off the animal

We are clearing out Mom and Dad's house today (they have both passed away). I found Dad's shoeshine kit, but the only wax left was black and clear. I thought about trying some clear in a small area to see if it brought any life back.
