Out of the three that started it one commited suicide, one is in jail, and the other has to pay back millions.

I'd say for him, he got even, However, his nightmare dealing with this isn't over. That phantom debt for several others is still out there and being used.
Sounds like the FBI or FTC needs to investigate these companies that are doing the collecting and making sure the debt is legitimate
