Worse! The Nazi's were about disarming certain ethnic groups/races of people. The socialist thugs/pigs in Cali and DC want TOTAL disarmament of the citizens. Much more evil IMHO, minus the atrocities committed against the Jews of course!
Check your history from those that lived in those countries during that time period.
They did disarm EVERYONE who was not SS, police, or military. But not all at once. It came in smalls steps over several years just like we are seeing now.
First they required registration and gave the excuse it would be used to better track criminals to solve crimes more quickly. The people thought it a good idea and registered their guns...now that they knew who had guns and where they lived, the next step was banning guns. So they said there have been too many accidents with firearms and too much murders so we need to get rid of guns. and how could you claim you had no weapons when you registered your gun? So the SS and other "officials" went door to door and collected all firearms from the people.
They then bribed neighbors to spy on their neighborhoods and inform the SS of anyone taking more than their fair share or hiding things they shouldn't have.
