Anyone know if there is any place to purchase 40 cal ammo cans in the PDX area?
try calling Andy and box store.
50 cal ammo can is somewhat easy to come by, but not 40cal.
or you can try local gun show.

You'll find us MUCH more firearm-friendly than Andy & Bax. Not being snarky, but the poster above is coorect. No .40 cal ammo cans. The military doesn't use .40. We have .50 cal and .30 cal and several sizes/varieties of grenade cans. The sizes for .30 and .50 are roughly similar anyway.

Thanks for the replies guys. That was a typo, I meant to write 30cal cans.
I have a number of hard plastic ammo cans that I use for transporting and storing ammo. I have found them to be just about as durable and useful as my surplus cans.

I have two of the MTM plastic cans too. They are lighter, have the same amount of internal storage, and are much quieter than the steel cans... I have one of them, too.
I purchased mine at Bi-Mart, $9.95 each.
+3 on the MTM plastic cans. Everything Harold said is right on the money.
I didn't see that they have any 30mm cans at the moment, but they get them once in a while.

+4 I have several MTM ammo cans as well.
+1. Met Bruce at the Oregon Arms Collectors show last weekend. Bought a .50 cal and a .30 cal can from him.
