From a follow up article:

The Hanford Nuclear Reservation in Washington state, where one of the largest nuclear cleanup efforts in the world is taking place, was put on lockdown Tuesday after unconfirmed reports of an active shooter. It was later determined that no shooting took place.

Any shooter around there would be dead real quick I'll bet. I remember going through bechtel Richland building which is offices only and there was a fully armed soldier seemingly in every corridor. If that's what they do for just a regular non-military related office building I can't imagine the security at the reservation itself.
