Shooting 50 BMG has been banned at our nearby range for a few years now. The new owners of a property near the range complained bitterly about the gunfire noise coming from the range that they had moved next to, and threatened a lawsuit.

To placate them, one of the measures that the range came up with, was to ban the use of guns chambered in 50 BMG.

Gabby Giffords wants a bump stock ban to include a ban on the ownership of 50 BMG caliber guns too. These are very naughty guns, guys. They frighten and annoy people.

As far as I can recollect BS were used in two murderous event. Both illegally (San Bernardino & LV). A pressure cooker has killed more people than a 50 bmg in civilian hands. Of course there is no call to ban pressure cookers. Pressure cooker ownership isn't even protected against the government.
