930 JM Pro loading port mod - Gun Information

So I have been looking around a lot for info about removing the model and caliber on this shotgun as mossberg in its infinite wisdom decided to put the info right in front of the loading port. I know law says that this information needs to be on the firearm, has anyone relocated it or is everyone just removing it when they open the loading port?

That's a pretty strange place to out the information, I'll agree.

But, now I'm wondering what the white stuff is around the loading port???

I should have been more specific. I am opening up the loading port to make it into my 3gun shotgun. I need to open it a bit farther but that would destroy the model and caliber.

the "white stuff" is bare metal where I have filed back the loading port. I want to go further but I dont want to destroy the gun.

I'm having North West Customs do the work for me. If legal I'm going to have them engraved the info back on the rifle somewhere else to be on the safe side.
