Antifa is very active in the area. The latest mass shootings have hints of them being involved. I wouldn't go anywhere near this event.

1) I wouldn't go to a event that dangerous 2) No detectors? Concealed means concealed. The bad guys won't be following the rules, so I'll be packing myself.

My family and I are still just not going to go. I've decided that any mass gathering of people where they've announced a "firearms prohibited" policy is just too tempting a target for someone with evil intent. Granted, an incident is statistically unlikely but...it's exactly the kind of event a bad guy would choose. YMMV

I don't blame you, your choice to just not attend is the smartest move. Its unfortunate that you miss the event, but it's better than missing a loved one for the rest of your life, or them missing you for their's. Related; I rolled the dice and carried in a comedy club that rhymes with Schmarvey's and the lack of security was..well total there of, no wands, detectors or angry looking bouncers. I don't drink but I was still able to relax enough to have a good time.
