Yesterday I went to the Rattlesnake Mountain Shooting Facility for a little target practice. While there, one of the 'very regulars' commented on my .500 S&W revolver with 4" barrel so I offered to let him shoot it.
This guy set up a rest, took 10 shots and got 4 hits on the gong out at 460 yards! This was with my handloaded 440 gr cast ammo {Montana Bullet Words}... You might say I was surprised. LOL I hadn't even thought about shooting at the gongs with the 500.
I tried after that and managed 1 hit for 10 rounds so I have some work to do
Looking forward to taking my .500 rifle out to ring the gongs.
