45 Colt Heavy Bullet Loads

I am casting and powder coating 345 gr and some 280 gr hp bullets for my 45 Colt Ruger Blackhawk. I would like to send them down range around 1000 to 1100 fops. I have AA2 and AA2 on hand.

That's pretty fast powder for a heavy boolit, I know cabelas had a decent selection of pistol powder as of late.

I checked Accurate, I was seeing if anyone here had worked up some loads for those weights. Guess I will have to get off my tail and go to work.

Can the 45colt cases take as much pressure as this load will produce?
I was told you can load the 45colt like a 44mag but the cases won't hold up
???

I am not sure but I am planning to find out.

I was going to try some heavy loads but with trimmed 454 brass as it is heavier

454 brass usheavier but once trimmed will have less case capacity. Watch out for higher pressure. I have been advised it is not only not necessary with modern 45 Colt brass it is a waste of time.
