Well, he was a convicted felon. So I guess there needs to be more laws that prohibit convicted felons from firearms?

I do not think so.

It is awful what that guy did. But again, we do not need new or more laws. Why? The bad guy in this case did not care about laws, rules or regulations. He did not care about other peoples lives.

We The People should not have Our 2nd Amendment rights further infringed upon because of another bad guys action. He is dead but should have had been prosecuted to the fullest extent for HIS actions. HIS actions..not the firearms actions. Bad guys will be bad guys. Sometimes the bad guys do bad things before the good guys have time to react.

Should all firemen be armed from now on? Should a cop or vet be required to escort the firemen everywhere?

I do not think so.

It is a shame but sometimes things happen in life or death that we have no control over and we have to deal with it after it happens. You cant remove all the automobiles and alcohol because someday someone might kill more innocent people while being drunk and driving. You cant remove all doctors because someday a doctor might botch a surgery or misdiagnose a patients problem that will take their life. You cant remove the courts because they might put the wrong man behind the bars or require his life through the death penalty.

Bad things are going to happen again. We the People need the 2nd Amendment to HELP protect ourselves. It doesn't turn out the way we like it all of the time but it should not be taken away either.

FWIW, CNN said it was a 62 year old guy that, believe it or not, spent considerable time in jail for shooting his grandmother years ago. The world just gets stranger and stranger.

The guy murdered his grandmother with a hammer and he was allowed to walk free?? Sorry, but law-abiding gun owners are not going to take the blame for this one, rather the government's pathetic legal system and poorly operated mental health infrastructure. The guy lived in the state with the strictest gun control, was a convicted murderer who was not allowed to own guns, who was paroled and let to live freely again in society. Why would they let such a vicious dangerous person back on the streets to live near our families?

I have a new solution.. Execute all murderers.. It will save prison space, reduce crime (after they are released) and save the taxpayers a lot of money.

I have my suspicions about the Newtown incident, and the Clackamas incident. I can hear a conversation in a conference room somewhere deep inside Langley headquarters, "The Clackamas incident didn't produce the desired results because of a CHP holder's interference, so we'll orchestrate another one on the other side of the country. We have handlers in place there too."

I know, I know...really paranoid, area 51 stuff, right? Well, I've lived that kind of thing. An acquaintance of mine wrote a book, part of which talks about some of my own experiences. Larry Kolb's "America at Night" talks about two of my former (unwillingly on my part) business partners:

John Kerry's campaign committee on the board of a company that (perhaps inadvertently) sold supplies to al-Qaeda—a revelation that would have devastated Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Kolb also recounts details of his subjects' long career of fraud and extortion, often with cooperation from prominent Washington figures...while backing his story with footnotes, Internet addresses and quotes from named sources.

Some of the schemes Hirschfeld and his buddies were involved in include trying to defraud Muhammad Ali of the rights to his life story, blackmailing Ferdinand Marcos, and bankrupting the company in which I was partners with them. I wondered why the federal authorities looked the other way until I read Kolb's book, now I know. They were CIA. They also had close ties to the Kansas City mafia and factions in the Middle East. I've talked to Kolb and matched my knowledge of them with his and we've both been amazed.

All of this is to say that the average citizen doesn't even come close to guessing all the nefarious cr*p that goes on beneath the cover of the federal government. Anything is possible, and the best cover story is that whatever it is, it's too crazy to be credible. And it gives a whole new meaning to the phrase, "We're working under the radar..."

Sickening - and the article I read had radio traffic stating the weapon used was "a shotgun or rifle, high power, semi or fully automatic". You KNOW they will jump on this incident to throw more fuel on the ban-fire. Never mind that THIS sicko was a convicted murderer who, by all rights, should've been either put to death or locked away in a 4x4 isolation cell somewhere and forgotted. Suck bubblegum beat his 92 year old grandmother to death with a hammer - that act alone shows how empty, broken, and hateful this POS was. Whoever gave him anything but life without parole needs to be thrown in prison themselves for turning this sick bastard loose. Instead of people blaming guns, and gun owners for criminal acts of psychopaths - how about we hold Judges and Prosecutors accountable for the acts of the bastards they turn loose or don't prosecute properly, or any time someone they made a plea deal with commits a violent crime. Turn loose a monster - wind up in prison and stripped of all your rights and worldly possessions yourself.

The blame for this act of murder lies SQUARELY on the shoulders of the law-makers who abolished the death penalty. They are as culpable as the pperpetrator. This guy was a REPEAT OFFENDER. Has anyone ever heard of a REPEAT OFFENDER who was executed?


They want to inflict these ANIMALS on society, then use that action as an excuse to make it harder (or impossible) for society at large to defend itself by banning/restricting firearms. Then they have the audacity to claim moral superiority over the rest of society that disagrees with their philosophy/ideology/methodology...
