22/45 grips

Does anyone know of a gunsmith that could make it so that i could have interchangeable grips? Or could i just go to any gunsmith and have them do that, or is that more of a specialty.

Some models of 22/45 have the grip panels molded in to the lower receiver, some (like my 22/45 lite) have removable grip panels; which do you have?

If you have one of the models with the removable grip panels you're in luck; any full-size 1911 grips will fit, although you might have to do a little grinding to clear the slide release. Here's mine:

Search 22/45 grip mod on you tube, Lots of vids on doing it yourself and some have links or info on geting them done. Good luck and post some pics if you do it, Id like to see your results.
