16 LB 1911 springs.

I have a Springfield 1911 A-1 (Loaded) and it originally came with a 16 Lb. Spring.

I have since got the springs and put the 18 lb. in my .45 and surprisingly it cycles with my loads which ain't too stout - 5 grains of TiteGroup with 200 gr lead bullets.

The 9mm RIA also cycles well with the 14 lb.

I have used 18 lbs for years in my Colt Government 1911s and they ran flawlessly. I even shot 230 grain +P without issue.

I recently switched to the dual recoil spring setup Colt used in the M45A1. They still run flawlessly. I swear the recoil impulse with the dual springs feels different in a good way.
