I never knew H&K made AR platform rifles :)

HK CONTRACT SNIPER COUNTERSNIPER TACMATCH MR762 AR : Semi Auto Rifles at GunBroker.com

copy pasted the item description here:

"...THESE ARE NOT, I SAY AGAIN NOT THE HK "MR762A1 LONG RIFLE PACKAGE II" which in our humble opinion is a waste of money for numerous reasons disclosed as we roll along.. these are HK MR762 professional contract over-runs which are civilian legal and available for sale.. or as HK states these Hybrid G28 units provide "precision shooters as well as law enforcement organizations seeking a lighter weight alternative to the HK G28 series of designated marksman rifles" as these are lighter, shorter, and more ergonomically correct precision rifles. The "Long Rifle Package II" marketed by HK USA is a conglomeration slapped together by someone somewhere to take advantage of civilian naivete in our humble opinion. Uh oh here we go all the whiney dealers whom cannot get awesome product like Rockegroup, LLC will be writing letters to HK about their "rogue" dealer; we believe the product is excellant but the add-ons leave a bit to be desired (to clarify)! The LRP II package has a $388 dollar Leupold scope on it. Say $400 scope. On supposedly a "Long Rifle Package II" ensemble. A 3-9 Leupold $400 scope. Enough said? Not an operator in the world would use the system as sold to civilians with this scope for any professional work! Leupold does make AWESOME real tactical professional level optics in the Mark 6 and Mark 8 optic lines but apparently HK wanted to hit a civilian price point.. we don't. Our contract platforms break down as follows: MR Match Rifle from HK utilizes .308 premier sniper ammo and or 7.62mm. Platform is a tri-color black, brown, bronze/pantone. Exterior is Poly T2 saltwater impervious museum quality finish in matte lustre brown (tac). Bolt has been upgraded to complete NP3 process which is also salt water impervious. Full keymod forward rail system is designed to be removed by unscrewing two bolts but will hold accessory zero when re-attached. HK G28 adjustable cheekpiece buttstock (full upgrade) with spring assist open (LOP length of pull extension), comb height adjustment, collapsible stock adjustment. HK pantone. Lower has two integral sling attach points and the stock has two also. Pantone pistol grip with integral storage compartment. Upgraded Geissele trigger group, two stage with range certification. HK weapon record book assigned to this specific contract platform. Three rail assemblies, modular, fit keymod. Forward sling attachment. LaRue Tactical BRM-S bipod. Civvie LRP units ship in a green Pelican case these contract units ship in the matching tan Hardigg/Pelican cases. All units are stamped "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the port side magwell with standard serial placement. Suppressor ready with the Surefire SOCOM system. Units have Surefire SOCOM Flash Hiders and readily accept SOCOM suppressors OVER the flash hiders.. no screwing around. You can put Surefire flash hiders or brakes on all your .30 caliber units and use one suppressor by simply switching from one Surefire flash hider to another. Contracted with Schmidt & Bender PMII Police Marksman II 3-12 Illuminated LP P4f. Top of the line illuminated unit w/ parallax past 1000 meters. Per contract comb height MUST match scope height with no more than 1/4 inch adjustment. Top of the line Spuhr mounting system, 34mm. Shown with matching weapons light which is NOT included but for Alex's sake lets answer his problem now.. "you cant show that light on a rifle it's a pistol light its not supposed to be there ohhhh" news flash we keep one in our pocket instead of a Surefire tactical light. Works the same yet is smaller; it does not need to be "mounted" to work. Need a light on your pistol? Pop it on. Need a light on your carbine or rifle? pop it on. Works the same but no messy wires and pressure pads running all over.. no we did not say there is not a time and place for messy wires and pressure pads.. Ok let's pretend you can "build" one for price comparison purposes! The HK "Long Rifle Package II" with cheap Leupold scope is selling for $6200 on GB and everywhere else; they have a version WITHOUT any scope selling for exactly $500 less which is $5700 and is the exact same base platform as these contract units; so we start at $5700 got it? Poly T2 exterior as described $311, upgraded bolt assembly MR with NP3 $216, Surefire SOCOM flash hider installed $191. Geissele trigger system, two stage, on their website uninstalled $465 out of stock no back-order. Interior blueprint with trigger MSR $155 and range cert. Schmidt Bender Police Marksman PMII ILLUMINATED. When you price check don't be fooled! They do not tell you they are NOT illuminated scopes; ours are and run $3800 at Optics Planet, Euro-optics, everywhere else. Spuhr mount $425. Pelican cases are a wash, bipods a wash, cleaning kit included, theirs has two magazines ours has four magazines (two 10 round and two 20 round) upgrade $88. HK Government issue weapon record book, no charge. United States property markings.. $300?? Total would run you $11651. OEM and LE contract acquisition pricing dumps us to $10555 which is a freaking steal!! Arrives zeroed and is a pick up and shoot package.. pick up, load up, and shoot! AZ pays tax....."

I always get a chuckle out of the phrase "Counter Sniper".
I understand why the following would not work in the civilian world but in the army one of the best "counter sniper" options used was : Getting on the PRC 25 and saying " Hey you . This is me. Fire for effect , over! " LOL
