Matthew Kaye (born June 26, 1974) is an American professional wrestler, professional wrestling commentator, actor and former high school teacher, using the ring name Matt Striker. He is signed to Impact Wrestling as a commentator, as well as providing English commentary for Lucha Libre AAA World Wide (AAA) pay-per-view (PPV) events in Mexico. He also wrestles on the United States independent circuit. He is best known for his time in WWE as both a wrestler and commentator. He is currently a part owner of one of the largest real estate companies on Long Island with a focus on the purchase and development of commercial properties.
Kaye originally worked as a high-school teacher while beginning a career in professional wrestling. He joined WWE in mid-2005. His wrestling character drew inspiration from his previous job, as Kaye, now calling himself Matt Striker, quickly developed the persona of a villainous teacher. In 2008, Striker began working as a color commentator for WWE's ECW brand and then SmackDown brand. Since leaving the WWE in 2013, he has worked on the independent circuit as well as with Lucha Underground and Major League Wrestling as a commentator. Striker was once ranked #166 in Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Top 500 wrestlers in the world.
