Canyonville is a city in Douglas County, Oregon, United States. The population was 1,922 at the 2016 census. The Seven Feathers Casino Resort is in Canyonville.
Ed Schieffelin was the prospector behind Tombstone, Arizona. He later met his fate here in south Oregon. The wife and I were talking about said character tonight, so google searches proceeded. Can anyone identify the long gun in this photograph from 1880? Thanks.

Going deer hunting for about a week 2 hours outside of Canyonville (1 hour pavement / 1 hour gravel) . If we get something early on we may be needing to take it into town depending on weather, etc.
Any suggestions on who to go to? I already got some places from the internet but don't trust...
