@Mark_Dorman correct. It's alive and well and will eventually find its way to a stacked bench at the Oregon Supreme Court where they will greenlight it in the blink of an eye.

Latest update: Barreled action made it back from LRI in South Dakota. New bolt handle, bolt fluting, and cerakote look great from the photos Tyler sent me. I'll be stopping by tomorrow after work to pick up the rifle and check out progress on the facility.

Final update and story time:

So I picked up the rifle yesterday. The work by LRI was great and it honestly looks/feels like a different action with the new bolt arm and fluting. While the turn around time was definitely an issue, once Tyler got ahold of it and started tackling the problem it went pretty fast. Maybe 6-7 weeks after starting to work with him.

Updates on the Shop/Range:

So there were stories going around of them going bankrupt and laying off a lot of people. I actually did recognize two of the guys there from previous visits so they definitely didn't lay everyone off. I did find out where that story originated (didn't ask, just came up when discussing the shop/range). Apparently one (or more) of the former employees were drinking on the job, telling customers the shop was closed during business hours, and caused other problems to the point the company came down on them and got rid of them. They started those rumors out of spite and they've had to do damage control on it since.

The construction is still going on and they're still getting pushback from the City and County on some things. They're confident they can get through it, it is just more of a pain than they even expected. No ETA as it's mostly dependent on City/County government stuff. The front of the shop is looking really nice. Displays are getting filled out more and look nice. They've got a lot of great guns and even managed to get some pretty hard to find pistols. I'm confident in saying they're not in danger of folding at this point.

Glad you were able to finally get your rifle back and to your satisfaction. As to the range or lack thereof, I'll pop back in this thread early next year for more delays/updates.

I thought this Place seemed gawd awful expensive when I saw this originally and now the OP is listed as an expired vendor.

Also though, why is the OP MIA and not supporting the site while some guy that took his rifle in for work only had to wait 6-7 weeks ONCE they finally started working on it is the one promoting the place that doesn't even have city/county approvals yet?

In my experience with construction we get all of these 'hiccups' squared away before we break ground and have a time line that we stick to.

I wouldn't say I'm promoting them. I'm just here to tell people my experience and how I see things going. If you read my older posts I was ready to call the authorities on them for losing my rifle a couple months ago. They put effort into making me okay with the whole situation by covering costs of work, getting extra work done, and communicating well with me.

I do think they jumped the gun with announcing their indoor range way before they were close to having it finished. As to why they're not an active vendor anymore...I have no idea. Maybe they just didn't think it was worth being on here. Maybe they feel the majority of members here are not their target clientele. Maybe they just don't have a staff member they trust to run their online marketing. I didn't asked them why they're not active on the forums or reddit any more.

Take what you want from my comments. I'm not encouraging anyone to spend money with them or support them. I just feel like the predictions of doom and gloom that were circulating were a bit off the mark because we didn't have much information about what is going on with them. Because I've been there recently and spoken to several people there, I think thing have a good chance of turning out well. From the sound of things, they have a lot of support from local law enforcement and a good team trying to get through all the red tape.

Maybe they are sketchy and some type of money laundering scheme, who knows, but it really didn't feel like it after chatting with them. They seem quite open and transparent and admit they've had their share of problems.

Right, their Facebook page has no recent updates and they're always-blank website since day one now redirects to the anemic Facebook landing page. The OP is completely incommunicado on this site. Then there was @Mark_Dorman worried he was not going to get his rifle back after 6 to 7 weeks.

WTF.... This is not a good way to instill confidence in the community for a fledgling business.

Ironically, i just talked to my contact today for the first time since last posting. I was told Tri-county had been there in the past couple weeks talking to them about buying their bullet traps. I don't know if it was unsolicited, or if Wooster reached out to them.
Like Mark said above, any pushback would have happened well before they got their permits. My guess, is they never had permits for a range to begin with.

Wooster blows so much smoke up everyone's rear its unbelievable. I certainly don't believe a word they say. I feel bad for their employees who are drinking the cool-aid.

What is it about the lack of indoor shooting ranges in Oregon when drive out of state and every other gun store in Boise has an indoor range?
Seems suspicious like the state is effin with them.

I'm starting to think that they need to take down their huge sign calling themselves the "premier indoor range..." at some point soon. It's just a really bad look when there hasn't been an update on the range that I can find on social media for many months.

Pure conjecture here, but I'm postulating that the city is doing everything in their power to make it extremely difficult for them to acquire the necessary permits. Being that they have that huge commercial space with only a small shop functional for a long time now, I'm guessing it won't be long before they fold. They're also not helping matters by not being communicative with the firearm community.

After that the incentive is not so much to fight the battles to get it going to turn a profit. Such a case would take a good salesman to really promise a lot up front and put on a big show in terms of signage, pre signups etc. I don't know anything about it other than certain countries have very, very, rich people desperate to move their $ to the US via trying to buy land, real estate, and similar ventures in the us to secure their $.
