I have a chance to buy an old used Win 1200 12ga. pump but want to be sure I can buy a set of chokes for it. All I can find online are newer Invector-plus chokes for the SXP model shotguns, but the SXP is based on the old 1200. All I need is to assure I can buy a full, mod, imp cyl primarily for upland bird/turkey hunting and occasional skeet shooting.

Does anyone know if the new invector chokes will work in the old 1200 barrels or if there are still chokes available for the 1200?

any help appreciated.

If you can't find chokes for a 1200 I think a 1300 barrel will work on that action. I have an old 1200 from the '70's and a 1300 from the '90's and the parts interchange.

Howdy, once you get it figured out, I have 2 new Winchester Winchoke's. They are new in the package. Marked modified and Imp. cylinder. No other information on package. Thanks Buckey

So I went back and bought it....
Its in great shape, deep bluing with wood furniture. No scratches or dings on the wood, just a few very faint scratches on the blued receiver. They found a zip lock with the wood plug and other chokes so I'm set. I had one of these as a kid my dad bought be that we always regretted selling so this is a nice find for me to bring back those memories.

It turns out the Invector chokes will not work, I have a newer Winchester SXP already and they don't interchange.

The "new" old shotgun is a model 120, not a 1200.... my eyes tricked me. It looks like the model 120 was a cheaper version of the 1200, I'm ok either way.

It also came with a spare custom Hastings brand extended choke thats unmarked, it measures .708" in the ID so I'm thinking its an extended full choke for geese, turkey etc but I don't know. Are extended chokes better than flush fit ones? Any info on that is appreciated.
