I have clipboards made up with maps of the districts and forms for each.

That's awesome Bolus! Not a lot of volunteers yet to hit the streets?
C'mon people in or near Sen. Chuck Riley's District 15 in Hillsboro, Forest Grove, Cornelius and North Plains or
House Rep. Susan McLain's House District 29 in West Hillsboro, Cornelius, and Forest Grove.
After you hit up all your friends and family, try knocking on a few doors.

If they end up getting recalled you'll be part of something awesome. Fighting back and winning against Paid Bloomberg stooges! Remember SB941 was only a 1st Step!
Don't wait for someone else to fight for you! Here's a little motivation. Now get marching!!!

Here are some helpful tips for approaching people door to door:

1. Dress and look presentable! This should go without saying, but it's important enough to put as number 1. You only have a few seconds to make an impression and how you look is very important.

2. Before you even leave your home, look at a detailed map of which subdivisions you will walk and print a copy for yourself. It makes it easy to track what houses you've hit already

3. Before you even walk up to someone's front door quickly scan their home, driveway and cars. You can derive a lot of information about what kind of person you'll encounter just by looking around. Then you can use that information to modify your opening message. Do you see NRA, military or other firearm/outdoor related activities stickers on their vehicles? If yes, you can straight up make it a gun issue and tell them Riley voted to limit their 2A rights and he broke his oath of office. Easy sale. Conversely, if you see an Obama or Hillary sticker, approach them with Riley voted to limit school funding and channel the GAIN Share funds away from the district. Use anything and everything you see to your advantage.

4. When you ring the bell, take two steps back to allow them to see you head to toe if they are looking through a pinhole. Hold the clipboard in your hands in front of your torso, so they can see you are conducting some business and not just a stranger knocking on their door

5. When they open, say Hello, introduce yourself (very important) and say your opening statement. Maintain eye contact, but try to stay pleasant and personable. People might think you are trying to sign them up for a service. Close your statement with "All we need from you is your signature to force recall elections later this year."

6. When they agree, you can then ask follow up questions like if they are registered to vote in the district. If not, you might want to give them the voter registration link. It helps if you have it printed, so you can just hand it to them. If you get one member of the household to sign and have established rapport with them, ask if there are any other members in their household that may be willing to support the recall. Their spouse, roomate, siblings' signatures are just good. If there are, but not present, leave them petition sheets and tell them you'll stop by in a day or two to collect or they can mail them too.

7. If you get "No", thank them for their time and leave. This is a numbers game, there's no point in wasting time.

8. Get used to hearing "No" and don't get discouraged. People are conditioned to say no to strangers at their door.

After you hit a dozen homes, you'll get better at this and will get over your nerves quickly. When things get discouraging, remember why you are doing this and that you have what's right on your side. Also, try to smile and don't take anything too seriously. If nothing else, you are getting some great exercise walking around.

Good luck to all of you.

Great stuff tunus! I would add have some bi-partisan reasons for recalls. Abuse of the Emergency clause to push through Bills that don't have full support of the people. Regardless of your thoughts on gun transfers if they abuse the Emergency Clause for this what's next?

For that matter what else have they been using the Emergency Clause for?
I heard L Larson had a guest saying they used it to replace a Statue?? Is that right?

Emergency clauses should be when people are in danger of starving or freezing after a Disaster and money has to be diverted quickly to save lives dammit:mad:
