Well, I just ordered a nostalgia piece this morning, because it was dirt cheap. I had to get the money from my wife. But it was so cheap. Now that I think about it, I could buy a lower and build out a pistol later or SBR later. I found a Colt lower for $250, actually a couple of them.

I do have a 30–06 already, but I don't know if I wan't to take it out in the woods though. It was my wife's grandfather's 1903 A3 that is in near mint condition. Her grandfather's hunted with it. It took me a week to get the barrel clean. It was so gunned up.

But, I will probably never hunt with a rifle. Perhaps I should look at another Shotgun or two, I will definitely kill some birds and eat 'em though. The SKS that I was looking at that takes the AK mags is gone.

I found a couple of HK VP9 factory demos for $500 each. It's either that or zi cough up some big dough and get an Walther P5 or PP Super in 9x18. And there are still a couple of milsurp SKS rifles that are under 400 bucks. There is a Russian one from the mid 1950's for about the same price that is in really nice condition.

Wow, I found some Colt Commando SBR's for $799.00 each. 11.5 inch barrels. I am going to find out the process to get one of those. A little bit Scraped up, but nothing a light coat of engine block paint and a bake in the oven can't fix.

I will try for one of those or a 16 inch if I can't get one of those. LEO trade ins are a great value.

I have about a grand to spend next month. This will be my final firearm purchase before the March deadline. Here is what I am looking at.

SKS with thumbhole stock that takes AK mags….about 600 dollars
AK47 for about 800 bucks. All forged with reinforced trunion. About 800 bucks.
Colt Commando knockoff by PSA with Dagger pistol and five mags for each…800 bucks
LE trade in Colt Patrol Carbine 600 bucks
Browning BAR 30-06 with Leupold scope. Belgian. 900 bucks

The last two may not be available by the time I have the cash, although Colt LE trade ins can be found for 600 to 800 bucks if one just looks.

Regardless of whatever I get above, I have one pistol on the way and will get another shotgun as well. That will be all I can do before March and I will need to buy a few more mags as well.

I would look at the S&W folding PCC ( $500 - $600 ) in 9mm and a Matching S&W Pistol or any good 9mm pistol. All of it 9mm

Why not just buy a lower, and then finish the build exactly as you want it? Then you don't have to worry about the change in the law or hurry because it of.
