Interesting video of Columbia County, OR Marine patrol.
....send them the bill for the lost anchor and line.
Yeah, like so many that get new larger boats and have no clue of what they are doing!!!
I bet that one cost the taxpayers a good $150K.... love how Gov. just spends $$$$ willie nillie on stuff that has no cause for safety!!!
That was EASILY $150K floating on the water.
Wow, that was painful to watch.....
Government agency money? Yeah 150 might be low
Love the theme music and got a big kick outta the lab watching the whole thing.
Nice boat, Sheriff...and while the County can't afford enough deputies to patrol, or even to answer and respond to calls on land, we get fancy machines.
Why don't they get a 50K boat and spend the other 100K on proper crew training.
Well common sense does not have a place in politics & WDFW/ODFW are political entities......
Hard to make out from the video what's going on. From the looks of things, the fisheries boat approached the fisherman from up wind/current and was carried over the fishing boat's anchor line.
Pretty inept boat handling by fisheries and they would be labial for any damages or losses that encored.
The guy pulls a length of line from the prop and throws it out into the water for somebody else to snag
pretty sure it was still attached to the anchor
that said, that vid takes me back, I know the guy that filmed it
They just wanted to show off the new boat to demoralize all the river rat peasants.... Like an M-Rap with a 50 cal mounted up top in downtown......
