Trijicon's Type 2 RMR is a tank. I've had one for almost a decade and it's never failed. I'd like to get a RCR or ACRO but haven't quite decided yet.

Malaysia is what it says on the box for my 507K.
That's good to hear, a step in the right direction. I may have look into this and alter my stance on Holosun if they have moved operations out of China.

I like the holosun that direct mounts to the mos without a adapter plate and allows Co witness of factory sights
SCS MOS, as I inferred above in don't have anything to do with Holosun but for a Glock MOS it's pretty hard to beat

Both are legit. I have both and prefer the RCR.
I've been wanting to ask you about that now that you've had it for while.

I like almost everything about it better. Except the mounting. It presents better (for whatever reason), conceals better, and I can lock it out…. Which I haven't been able to figure out how to do with the ACRO (if you know please inform). Being a lefty and carrying appendix the buttons on the ACRO are exposed and will get bumped throughout the day adjusting the brightness. Don't get me wrong though I still love the ACRO.

The ACRO doesn't have a built-in mechanism to deactivate the switches, it's cool the RCR does. Obviously the mounting system isn't going to be as robust on the RCR as the ACRO, but would you deem it more than acceptable? I do like the shape of the RCR and the button configuration better. Do you happen to have a picture of them side-by-side looking at the lens?

The buttons are WAY better. One of my P2s has some of the mushiest buttons ever. It works but there is no tangible click when adjusting. It's all by sight.

Here's a few photos.

I have nothing to compare it to. I bought it because it was suggested to me by my SIL who is very active in the shooting sports and is kinda snobby about what he uses. So far, there's nothing for me to complain about.

Ok, can someone answer a question for me? What's the difference between an open emitter and a closed emitter? Does that mean the path of the light to the lens is either open to the atmosphere (and crap) compared to completely blocked in?
