Mebbe you're supposed to lash them to said bear? That'd be a show!I totally agree with you, but not everyone has a pet bear whose butt could be lashed...

Reminds me of the time I went to Seattle traffic court for a speeding ticket. I was unemployed at the time, so I had the time, and I was looking to save a few dollars.People who drive without a license/or suspened or insurance, plus outdated tags.
I have and pay for all of the above.
I wish cops would put those who won't/don't promptly into a mandated minimum of a year in county or 25 bamboo lashes on their bear butts, lashed out by an expert..,.
BMW.What is it with black bmw sedans, was on 205n about midnight one goes flying by at 120 + using all 3 lanes through cars.
Soo dumb.
You mean sorta like Corporal Wojtek, the Polish Army bear of WWII fame?Mebbe you're supposed to lash them to said bear? That'd be a show!
It isn't that BMWs are bad, it is that their handling and speed attracts some anal orifices. Same goes for sport bikes. Doesn't mean everyone who owns one drives that way. What is it with black bmw sedans, was on 205n about midnight one goes flying by at 120 + using all 3 lanes through cars.

Looked more base model than M3 so F that guy.It isn't that BMWs are bad, it is that their handling and speed attracts some anal orifices. Same goes for sport bikes. Doesn't mean everyone who owns one drives that way.
I've owned two Bimmers, over the last 20 years and I don't drive that way, but I love the combination of handling and comfort.
If someone was going to be weaving thru traffic at high speeds, I would prefer they do it in a car built to handle the speed than a Kia or Hyundai or, for that matter, a Ford/Chevy/Dodge.
Just like it isn't the gun, it isn't the car - it is the nut behind the wheel.
I hate the sudden extremely loud noise - it raises my BP and adrenaline,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Absolutely!!It can be enough to actually cause someone to crash.

It's downright juvenile! That's why I always roll all the windows down with my kids and we honk the horn in a tunnel. It makes them all laugh which is great on a long drive!I find the horn honking in the tunnel to be…. Well, sophomoric at best.
It's already bad enough dealing with drivers who don't understand what solid traffic lines painted on the road mean or rules of the road for that matter…. They're too good and too important to wait in the line of traffic, nope, they need to come up on your right, or left, and cut over at the last moment.
Really burns my biscuit's…
Seen that first hand with "Crotch-Rockets" on the interstate a time or three. Just last week coming westbound, halfway between Cascade Locks and Troutdale. I was doing 72 with the rest of the cars. I'm glad I happened to see him in the side mirror. He musta been doing around 120. Centerline, BETEWWEN CARS! Time before that was I-205 northbound, not to far past the Glen Jackson Bridge. Didn't see that bike. And it had LOUD pipes. G-dammit! Scared the the crap out of me. But at least he was in the inside shoulder. What is it with black bmw sedans, was on 205n about midnight one goes flying by at 120 + using all 3 lanes through cars.

The horn is just "Tooting". Not "HOOOOOOONKING".Total stupidity.Seen that first hand with "Crotch-Rockets" on the interstate a time or three. Yeah, seems so. I look at it like, they want to drive that way, fine. But don't be hitting my car, and don't cause me a bunch of my precious time if/when you splat. I shouldn't have to see it or deal with it.Total stupidity.
Totally serious. You're not really serious, are you??![]()
going to work one afternoon for swingshift on n.e. columbia blvd. I look in the right side mirror and see "something" going on as it gets closer I can see it is a motorcycle riding the back wheel spiltting lanes at what must have been 90-100 M.P.H. I was just glad he didn't splat where I had to deal with it. don't know if he did but seemed inevitable.Seen that first hand with "Crotch-Rockets" on the interstate a time or three. In WA you can use a DL to register to vote.Reminds me of the time I went to Seattle traffic court for a speeding ticket. I was unemployed at the time, so I had the time, and I was looking to save a few dollars.
It was interesting that 90% of the people in court were there for having a suspended license, no license at all, almost all had zero insurance, and some expired tags. Most were Hispanic - neither here nor there for me, but I suspect they were not documented immigrants.
After asking them what they did for a living, the judge gave all of those persons the option of getting insurance and a valid driver's license and tags, etc. and coming back in 30-90 days (I don't recall) and then he would cancel the charges.
When I went up for my ticket, he asked me what job I had and I explained I was unemployed. He asked what I did when I worked and I told him I was a s/w dev. He cut my ticket amount roughly in half.
It seemed obvious to me he was basing his judgement on how much $ a person earned, based on what they did for a living - which I find unfair.
Riding a motorcycle in city traffic makes one very aware of what's behind them, especially wen stopped. I almost got hit from behind by a drunk once. Fortunately I saw him coming and drove up beside the car in front of me. Then I followed that loser until he stopped and called the Sheriff. I was pissed and the deputy tried to explain that the guy was going thru "hard times". I told him that I didn't give a flying fork. That drunk about killed me...2) I've been hit from behind at least a dozen times (by idiots following too closely and/or not paying attention). So sounds from behind me are indeed a problem.
Yup - I've been fortunate to never be hit while riding; came close a few times. Friend was bumped once while stopped at a stop light. All my riding accidents were my fault though - usually because I was doing something stupid.Riding a motorcycle in city traffic makes one very aware of what's behind them, especially wen stopped.
