I put new scopes on my .22 and .270, they need to be sighted in and have some dope data collected.

I also need to borrow a gun vise from the range and make sure my scopes are level. I got them as close as I could but I just did it on my desk so I doubt it's 100%.

And I always shoot my carry gun a little just to stay sharp with it.

Just realized this morning, just now, something else I consider a goal at the range. Totally removing the reality that I live in a crap-hole like potland for a couple hours! :s0115:

I have a DD M4 Block II upper I need to get zeroed in. I bought it last December and just haven't had the time.

Significantly increased traffic in recent years between my South Salem home and ARPC makes me skip the range more often than not these days. After a long day at work I don't feel like fighting a*holes on the road.

I'm sitting on an unzeroed upper as well for all the same reasons. No energy on weekdays, and the range is a zoo on weekends. I will forever envy those that can shoot off of their back porch.

LOVE IT! Have told the story before. Our range is in a poor part of town, place you don't want to be after dark. One morning in winter rare day where sun is out but its bellow 30. I see this thing walking down the sidewalk, no shirt, waving his arms in the air and yelling at no one. I pull in and he turns his attention to us. Wife is freaking out and says "what if he follows us to where we park?" I laughed and said perfect time to do that, as I am pulling into the range to shoot. :s0140:
He choose to stay on the sidewalk yelling as I was getting range bags out of the car. When we went in Wife was telling the counter girl about it and she had to laugh too.

This afternoon, mounting a scope on my model 70 featherweight in 270. Get it zeroed 200 yds.

I have a membership to a local range. I rarely go. I do find myself on private or public land weekly. Easiest way to avoid a crowd, find your own spot 🙂

You might change your tune about that if you had to drive ACROSS potland TWICE every time! ;)

For many of us to go to a place where we can shoot that's not a range is a real good drive. The nearest place to me I feel safe doing this is up on the mountain. Its a LOT of fun but, also makes it basically a day trip. Not to mention its not open year round. REALLY miss having a place close to home to shoot. People keep spreading out so getting harder and harder to find places that are safe and are not a LONG drive. :(

Working on increasing my speed with my current CC. It was hard at first understanding that perfect accuracy in a defense situation means nothing if you can't draw and shoot the target before they get there. Working to balance that speed while still getting shots on target.

I went out a couple days and tested some 45acp loads and 38spl loads. Goal was to find a load I liked. I had 2 45acps with me and 1 38spl with me. I think I need to keep it to just 1 gun at a time.

My goal every time I hit the range is to solve the right side which I seem to have some days. Im a lefty.
