Went on a friends boat out of Westport last Tuesday. The Coho are so thick you can't get past them to try for Kings. I have never hooked so many fish in one day ever on the oregon or Washington coast. It was pretty crazy. If you are looking for a quick limit, that's the place to be right now.

Beautiful silver from a week ago. Out of Ilwaco, so same basic area. 20240731_163745.jpg 20240731_165935.jpg

We must have caught and released 30 wild fish in about 3 hours. It was hard to find a hatchery coho vs wild one. And yes, the hatchery fish we kept were quite delicious!
