Ocean looks nice this evening I can see it out my window we are going to hit it tomorrow . The last week was a comedy of errors my son did not bring the downriggers and we Macgyvered Halibut weights on the line and still managed to bring in two kings . It was 75 degrees out today I need some on the ocean air conditioning !

I just did some cedar planked on the Traeger man are those things good ! I even made some for the dogs mixed with rice I swore they had stars in their eyes .

We're using 7'6" spinning rods to throw spinners (my favorite way to catch Coho in the salt), or light trolling gear in the 6-12# or 6-15# rated trolling rods (marketed for walleye).

A hoot I am telling you it was downright painful with those small poles never again ! I am however not one to back down from a challenge so could happen again just saying .

Walleye now you are talking that is one of the best freshwater fish I have had besides browns but they are salmonid like .

Believe it or not Dave and Busters in Denver did a walleye dish with a lemon caper sauce over mashed potatoes and dang it was good ! I was surprised being land locked we had the best seafood and sushi and here I have to catch it myself.

I did find some old ice fishing rod lets give them a real chance ! A reel chance if you will
